Weekly Update 15-02-2016

Hey guys, hope you all had a good weekend!

I used to do this waaaaay back but I’m going to try and get into the habit of doing weekly updates where I’ll talk about my progress on the current chapter, stuff I have planned and anything else I think is worth your time.

We’ll see how long I manage it, but until then, this week’s new business!

The Weekly Progress Report

Chapter 2’s final script draft is all done and dusted. I’ll be posting some previews for it on Patreon for all $1 supporters over the next couple of weeks. I’m sitting down to do proper storyboards (I’ve started doing mini-boards while I script) today and should be sketching out pages by beginning of next week.

So I’m a little off my plan – promotional art took up way more time than expected – but ~I’m on target to hit the deadline!

Thank you for your support!

So Chapter 1 came out last Monday and I’m happy to say I’ve been overwhelmed by the response I’ve had. From the positive comments I’ve gotten it looks like the first chapter was a huge success and I’m excited to show you guys what’s to come. Sorry if I haven’t replied to a comment or question you’ve left yet, I’m rounding up the rest of those as I go.

I also want to thank the very kind people who have chipped into my Patreon off the back of this first Chapter, it means a whole lot to me!

As Chapter 2 isn’t out for a month now, if you want more content I’d recommend hopping over to my devianart or instagram where I post a lot of artwork. Links in the header.

FaLLEN art contest and Spidersilk Kickstarter

Lastly I want to highlight two things some buddies of mine are doing at the moment that you might be interested in.

The first is a contest being done by Ogawa Burruku in regards to her series, FaLLEN. If you’ve not read FaLLEN, it’s a great series (though not suitable for any younglings readings) and I highly recommend it. The contest is a fan art one and features cash prizes as well as a chance to appear in the second volume of FaLLEN once it goes to print.

If that tickles your fancy you can find the deets here.

You can read her comic here.

Secondly we have the lovely Alakotila and her series, Spidersilk, which she’s running a kickstarter for. She’s trying to get her first volume printed, which is a passion a lot of us arty types have, so I want to highlight it for you. Every little helps and I’m sure it’d mean a lot to her.

Check out her kickstarter here.

You can check out her stuff here.

And that’s it for this week!

See you all next week where I will be introduced by a chorus of pirates and children singing a break-out 90’s grunge hit.

Peace out.
